This top was developed for my first project while studying abroad at Central Saint Martins. The title of the prompt was "Censorship vs Ornamentation." I was inspired by ornamention in both grandiose ways (Baroque home decor and 18th CE portraiture) as well as in mundane or  kitschy ways (my grandmother's wood panelled kitchen and velvet drapes). I experimented with drapery as well as padding and beading/quilting.
